1. Eligibility and account creation
You must be at least 13 years old to use Paceey. Registration requires a valid email, username, and password. Users aged 13–17 need parental or guardian consent. You are responsible for your account credentials and must not share your account. Usernames cannot be offensive, impersonate others, or contain personal info.
To use Paceey, you need to provide email, username, and password. You may use Apple or Google Sign In. If under 18, ensure you have consent. Inappropriate usernames or false information may result in account termination.
Protect your credentials and promptly report unauthorized access to legal@paceey.com. By registering, you accept responsibility for all activities under your account. Paceey reserves the right to require username changes or account termination in case of violations.
2. Use of the App
Paceey grants you a revocable, non-transferable licence for personal use only. Use of the app for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity is strictly prohibited. Respect local and international laws and the rights of others.
You must not use automated means to access the app, attempt to reverse engineer, or scrape data. Unlawful behavior or attempts to manipulate the platform are grounds for account termination.
All user activity must comply with these Terms. Suspected violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from Paceey. Always use the app responsibly and for its intended purposes.
3. Rank system and fair play
Paceey operates a rank system based on XP earned from genuine workouts. Cheating—including GPS spoofing, location manipulation, automated activity, or collusion—is strictly forbidden and monitored.
Violation of fair play may result in XP removal, rank demotion, suspension, permanent ban, removal from leaderboards, or cancellation of subscriptions. Paceey uses automated detection for suspicious activity.
Report suspected cheating via the app or email legal@paceey.com. Decisions on fair play violations are final and may be made without notice.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Paceey is free with limited features. Pro subscriptions unlock advanced features for £5.99/month, with a 7-day free trial for new users. Subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to renewal.
Eligibility for the free trial is limited to one per person. Referral codes may extend the trial; abusing the referral system can lead to account termination. Billing is managed via the Apple App Store; all refund requests must be submitted through Apple.
Paceey reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing, with at least 30 days’ notice before changes take effect. Continued use after price changes indicates acceptance of the new rate.
5. Joint runs
Paceey Pro users may join joint runs. Participants must stay within 50 meters of each other for at least 80% of the run, cover at least 1km, and have an active GPS signal. Joint run features and bonuses follow these criteria.
Stay aware and exercise caution during joint runs. Use the app only in safe environments and do not let it distract you from traffic or hazards. Location sharing in joint runs is limited to run partners and ends automatically after the session.
Paceey takes no responsibility for incidents or injuries during joint runs; users agree to participate at their own risk.
6. User content
You may upload profile photos and personal stats. By uploading, you confirm you own or have rights to all content, and that it does not violate others’ rights or the law.
Paceey may use, store, and display user content as needed for normal operation. This license ends when you remove your content or account.
Prohibited content includes illegal, hateful, discriminatory materials, nudity, violence, infringement of IP, personal info of others, spam, or misleading info. Paceey may remove content violating these terms.
7. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in Paceey, including the app, website, designs, artwork, code, and branding, is owned or licensed by Paceey.
You may not reproduce, copy, create derivatives, use branding, or attempt to decompile or reverse engineer without written consent from Paceey.
Feedback or ideas submitted may be used at Paceey’s discretion, without any compensation required.
8. Privacy
Your use of Paceey is subject to the Privacy Policy at paceey.com/privacy. This explains how your data is collected, used, and protected.
By using Paceey, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. Review it regularly for updates.

9. Third party services
Paceey integrates services like Firebase, RevenueCat, Mapbox, and OpenWeatherMap. Your use of these services is subject to their terms and policies.
Paceey is not liable for third party content or practices. Check third party privacy policies before use.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Paceey is provided as-is and as-available. We do not guarantee availability, error-free operation, or precise GPS in all conditions. Features may change, and interruptions can occur without notice.
GPS accuracy depends on device and environment. Paceey is not liable for losses from inaccurate GPS, data, or statistics.
To the extent permitted by law, Paceey is not liable for indirect loss, profit loss, business interruption, injuries from exercise, or loss from reliance on data. Total liability is limited to subscription fees paid in the prior 3 months. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Account termination
You may delete your account any time via app settings. Deletion is permanent: data is erased within 30 days, subscriptions are canceled at billing end, and referral codes are deactivated.
Paceey may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, abuse, manipulation, or fraud. If terminated for violations, no refund is issued.
Upon termination, licence to use the app ends and all data and ranks are removed. Deletions are irreversible.
12. Changes to the app and terms
Paceey may add, remove, or revise features and adjust ranking or challenge mechanics anytime. Competitive seasons may reset ranks and leaderboards with each new season.
Terms may be updated. Significant changes are notified via the app and updated at the top of this page. Continued use means acceptance of the new terms.
You may be required to accept new terms before continuing; see the update date at the top of the Terms page.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive courts of England and Wales.

UK consumers can use ADR schemes; details available on request.
14. General provisions
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the full agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect.
Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not transfer rights without consent; Paceey may assign rights freely.
No partnership, agency, or employment relationship is created by these Terms.
