Introduction
Paceey is a competitive ranked running app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. This policy applies to the Paceey app and paceey.com.
By using Paceey, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use our app or website.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect info you provide (name, username, email, profile photo, age, gender, weight, height, preferences).
We collect real-time GPS data, routes, speed, elevation during runs. Location is only accessed when you are running.
Run activity, account/usage data, social, payment, and subscription data are also collected as described above.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Your data helps operate Paceey, track runs, calculate XP, enable leaderboards, and personalize challenges.
We never sell or advertise using your data or use profiling for unrelated purposes.
We protect your info to comply with laws and provide support.
3. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Data is securely stored on Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and Mapbox services, mainly in EU/US locations.
Security includes encryption in transit and at rest, user-level access, and regular security reviews.
Despite precautions, no storage is 100% secure.
4. THIRD PARTY SERVICES
We use trusted third-party providers: Firebase, RevenueCat, Mapbox, OpenWeatherMap, Apple App Store, Expo.
Each service receives only data essential for app functionality.

5. DATA SHARING
We do not sell or rent your data and never share for advertising. Data is shared only with providers to operate the app.
Leaderboard visibility is limited to username and rank unless you enable more sharing.
Legal, safety, or business transfers may require sharing, but notice will be given where possible.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
UK/EU users have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to data use.
You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise rights, email privacy@paceey.com with subject ‘Data Rights Request’.
Requests are addressed within 30 days.
7. DATA RETENTION
Data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
Aggregate data (non-personal) may be kept for analytics. Crash logs are retained for 90 days.
Subscription records follow Apple/RevenueCat retention policies.
8. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications are sent for achievements, challenges, friend activity, and announcements.
Manage notification preferences in the app or your device settings. You can opt out fully.
Opting out does not affect app usage.
9. LOCATION PERMISSIONS
Location access is required only for tracking during active run sessions.
Always Allow enables background tracking; While Using App limits tracking and may impact run accuracy.
We never track your location outside of an active run session or if app is closed.
10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Paceey is not intended for children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from under 13s.
If you believe your child has provided data, contact us for prompt deletion.
Aged 13-17 users should get parental consent.
11. COOKIES AND WEBSITE
paceey.com uses cookies for essential functionality, analytics, and remembering preferences.
You can disable cookies in your browser; this may affect site functionality.
The mobile app does not use browser cookies.
12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your data may be transferred outside the UK to the US or EU for processing by providers.
Appropriate safeguards are in place including Standard Contractual Clauses.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy for legal or operational reasons.
Major changes will be notified to you, and the ‘Last updated’ date will be revised.
Review this policy periodically to stay informed.
